2.1 OPIS ZANIMANJA (description of the occupation)

  • Cut off the material and attach the soldering material
  • Attaches metal parts to a compact unit; welding procedure is performed with additional materials (electrolux and gas) and no additional materials (electro-welding)
  • Participates in the construction of high-strength structures as well as manufacturing of consumer goods
  • The job is performed according to the relevant technical and technological documentation (descriptions, technical drawings, sketches) with a specific method of welding, tools, machines and protective equipment

The welder should possess a high level of precision and accountability and readiness to check the qualification / quality of work – attesting.

The welder effectively utilizes working time, assumes responsibility for his / her work, expresses a positive attitude towards the importance of technical and functional correctness of the equipment and tools for work, expresses the ability for teamwork and co-operative. It shows the ability to adapt to different working conditions and

finding new situations. It is desirable to have initiativity and independence in work, precision, care and efficiency. Inspired by a positive attitude toward the application of occupational safety measures, fire protection, the importance of preserving the environment, as well as professionally ethical norms and values. It shows the readiness to apply and acquire new knowledge, as well as the application of modern technologies.

5.2 Rizici i radni uvjeti (Risks and working conditions)

  • Due to the specificity of the welding work and the risks to which the welder / welder is exposed, special attention is paid to the protection measures at work.
  • The welder works in the production hall / workshop, and is sometimes separated in a specially designed welding cabinet to protect other workers from sparks and flashes.
  • Works also in the open (bridges, ships, buildings, plants, etc.) at elevation, under water, or in a confined space.
  • Works in specific and often difficult conditions such as: exposure to high temperatures, polluted air, noise effects, increased radiation intensity. The welding machine / welding machine uses welding appliances, measuring and control devices, protective equipment, tools and equipment for cleaning the weld.
  • Due to the specificity of the welding work and the risks to which it is exposed, special attention is paid to the use of protective equipment.
  • Particular attention is paid to protection against falling objects and gases that are released during welding.
  • The health of the welders is periodically checked.

Welding jobs can be performed preferably by a healthy person with a healthy musculoskeletal system and dissecting organs. The hands are, of course, smart and quiet to make the smells as good as quality. Emotional stability (self-control, self-control) and ability to work under specific conditions (height, underwater, cramped space, etc.) are also needed.
